My buddy has an evo, for $600 he got an ECU reflash to make another 100hp.

M3s are maxed out tuning wise, maybe a super light exhaust like Amuse will ad 7 horses, a different intake, a CSL header adds some, software upgrade is minimal... so not too many options.

Supercharger. That's your best bet. Adds 100+ hp.

Best way to add HP.... Buy the car you want with the HP you want so you don't have to mess with it. :D

But the whole point is parts chasing and running up credit card, stop being a buzz kill.

For some of us, modding is a hobby or maybe even an addiction. Years ago, I used to mod Volvo turbos. Then I bought an E36M3 because it was so great just the way it was that I would not have to do anything to it. That lasted 3 months. With my E90M3, I left it stock for 6 months. However, I think I could leave a 997 Turbo S alone for a year.

Yup. I was into racing Sportbikes. Got the e36 for a fun clean daily car. It had 60k on the clock at the time. The goal was to do absolutely nothing to it. $/ units of fun the cars can never compare to a motorcycle. Then little things started breaking and I started wrenching .. and soon a cracked manifold turned into a full exhaust, and on and on..
