Do we ever have meets in Europe? Or are we just too repressed and antisocial over here? (I blame it on the weather)

(I blame it on the weather) Brad Martin Tue, Jul-01-2003, 01:46:10 PM It's been raised before. Here's a link to a recent one: http://216.118.86.224/m3forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8906 It seems that only cosmo, you and myself are in the market for an English one, but it's early days! jon Tue, Jul-01-2003, 05:56:45 PM Originally posted by Brad Martin It's been raised before. BTW I am a bit repressed, a few social glitches but on the whole a damn solid chap! BTW I am a bit repressed, a few social glitches but on the whole a damn solid chap! Alright Jon. Mine's not due till September so if you lot schedule a summer meet i'll have to sit in a darkened room and count my inadequacies! We could have a real 'English' style meet where everybody's very reserved and doesn't actually want to bring their car in case it seems immodest. Then we can mumble into our tea about the weather and the bloody government and leave with an embarrassed handshake. Stiff upper lip and all that! I can't wait :D EALINGM3 Tue, Jul-01-2003, 07:24:55 PM the really funny thing (that is actually making me audibly chortle) is that none of us have got a car Brad Martin Tue, Jul-01-2003, 07:40:00 PM Originally posted by EALINGM3 the really funny thing (that is actually making me audibly chortle) is that none of us have got a car Lol! The non-M3 club. Anyone know a good non-M3 owners forum? jon Tue, Jul-01-2003, 07:49:25 PM Originally posted by EALINGM3 the really funny thing (that is actually making me audibly chortle) is that none of us have got a car it's the anticipation that's so good - just like sex!!!!!! Sorry, forgot stiff upper lip. non m3 owners club known as alcoholics anonymous - I've been posting for 3 months now..... lets wait till we have our rides before meeting - might be a tad embarrasing if i show up in my Escort Mexico - can't let the forum down. seriously - up for a meet at suitable location when the time's right  EALINGM3 Tue, Jul-01-2003, 07:54:43 PM I'm definitely up for it too ... I get mine July 29th ... let's keep in touch and do something as soon as we can. It should be lots of fun ... I'm looking forward to it already  jon Tue, Jul-01-2003, 07:58:48 PM great to hear...maybe not so repressed after all! interesting thing my spec virtually the sames as yours -- suits you  EALINGM3 Tue, Jul-01-2003, 08:25:06 PM nice one jon - what are your differences? Also, since we have so much time before our UK meet, we should try and think of something really good to do .... (having said that, I can't think of anything, but it'll come I'm sure) jon Wed, Jul-02-2003, 07:56:39 PM Originally posted by EALINGM3 nice one jon - what are your differences? (having said that, I can't think of anything, but it'll come I'm sure) my spec's SG, black nappa, 19', SMG, 6 Disc and centre arm rest. Also had to fit tracker monitor for insurance... so u decided against smg - why was that - not too late to change!!!! Sure we can think of a suitable event round Sept that's somewhere between Ealing and MKeynes. Not sure where Brad is but lets get thinking Jon tomba26 Wed, Jul-02-2003, 08:55:47 PM I just got my car and I am up for it for sure. EALINGM3 Thu, Jul-03-2003, 08:37:53 AM That sounds a lot like mine Jon, but you're wheels will look amazing! I didn't dare go for the 19 inch wheels - London curbs are a nightmare. It will be interesting to see them together. Looks like we've got enough interest to get it going, so September it is  jon Thu, Jul-03-2003, 07:41:56 PM Originally posted by tomba26 I just got my car and I am up for it for sure. tomba26 - what's ur ride and where are u based???? Johnny B. Fri, Jul-04-2003, 11:44:56 AM Yank residing in UK. I have an IR/IR coupe with everything (I think) but NAV and SMG. I'd be interested in a meet sometime. Brad Martin Fri, Jul-04-2003, 12:45:21 PM Well things are getting interesting! We have a possible six now (assuming cosmo's still around). Six of us cruising around is definitely going to create an impression :-) And we even have a Yank who can show us repressed UK types how to loosen up a bit.:D I'm in sunny Essex myself, but i'm not fussed where it is within reason. When does a 'gathering' officially become a 'meet'? Do we have enough? ASM Fri, Jul-04-2003, 03:05:51 PM You guys should check out www.bm3w.co.uk, this is a great UK E46 M3 forum with plenty of UK meets organised on there. Brad Martin Fri, Jul-04-2003, 04:05:37 PM I'm just getting a dead link on that UK forum. ASM Fri, Jul-04-2003, 04:14:12 PM try this one www.bm3w.co.uk jon Fri, Jul-04-2003, 05:19:22 PM Originally posted by ASM You guys should check out www.bm3w.co.uk, this is a great UK E46 M3 forum with plenty of UK meets organised on there. don't know about u guys but i kind feel loyal to m3 forum..could just be me though!!!!! tomba26 Sat, Jul-05-2003, 05:07:04 PM Hey Jon!
