View Full Version : european auto source Seth Tue, Apr-11-2006, 05:23:16 PM Please support our sponsor! european auto source (http://www.europeanautosource.com/) tom @ eas Mon, Aug-07-2006, 04:57:36 AM This month, european auto source will celebrate our 1st year in business. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone in the community for your support. Since the very beginning in late 2002, we have been into the iPod integration scene with Dension (and later with DICE) - introducing the 1st iPod integration kit for BMW. Now almost 4 years later, we are only getting better. With a dedicated sales and support team, fully functional test bench and 12 iPods - no one is into the scene more than we are. You can assure - if you are looking to integrate an iPod into your BMW, we are your one and only "source". :) We have a simple rule - to provide our customer with the best overall value. This necessarily doesn't mean the cheapest price in all cases, since support should be readily available before, during and after a transaction take place. Regardless where a kit was purchased, we have always been there for support and will continue to do so in the future. An example of the latest email we received just tonight: "Tom, Just wanted to let you know that I got the DICE on Friday and fitted it in about 20mins. Had no problems with either the fitting or the unit its self, everything working as it should and very pleased with it. I wanted to thank you for your help in answering my questions before I purchased, your excellent customer service and the quick delivery. I will be posting a thread on the forum to let people know your excellent company and the fantastic unit. Thanks again" As you can see, we thrive on customer feedback! With the introduction of the video iPod, eas has been quietly been working on integrating video into your stock Navigation screen, along with CD Quality audio while keeping the OEM look and feel. We currently have packages that can give you perfect DVD quality video and audio - and can be installed in about an hour. Keep an eye on our website as new items will be added through out the month. While iPod integration is our speciality, it is not our only talent. We offer factory-integrated OEM Business CD upgrades (with and without MP3 capability), Sirius and XM integration as well as Bluetooth upgrades. Keep an eye on the website - we are about to offer lots of new and exciting items, bringing your BMW to a whole new level like no other. Again, I would like to extend our thanks and looking forward to another great year. jerrym Sat, Feb-10-2007, 04:10:07 AM Big Thanks to Tom and Steve @ eas. for making the Quick transaction today! Great service, thanks Tom! Obioban Thu, Jul-26-2007, 06:36:44 PM EAS is a great vendor, and Tom is always helpful. I can't recommend them enough  neeCo Thu, Sep-06-2007, 11:40:29 PM Great customer service and Tom was very helpful throughout the way. Ordered the blackout package and Tom said it would be shipped on Tues. Got it the next day. Excellent service! instinct Tue, Oct-16-2007, 06:22:32 PM Tom and Steve, I've found a tv-in-motion module on your website. However it's stated that it's activate/deactivate via clock button. However, I am having 4:6 screen instead of 16:9 which don't have clock button. Will this work on my car? tom @ eas Tue, Oct-16-2007, 06:25:28 PM This will work on the 16:9 screen only since it needs the clock button to activate. The 4:3 will not work. instinct Tue, Oct-16-2007, 08:06:39 PM Do u carry any tv/video in motion for 4:3? btw, which is the clock button that u r refering as it seem that all the button in 16:9 is available too in my 4:3, just the layout is different. tom @ eas Tue, Oct-16-2007, 08:09:35 PM The 1270 will not work in the 4:3 screens. If your NAV computer is sent to us - we can have it activated for TV in motion. instinct Wed, Oct-17-2007, 06:25:41 AM Tom, I'm actually located in Malaysia and trying to get a plug and play tv-in-motion module from the States (shipping is within the States as I have friend who will send it over to me). So it's not possible for me to bring over my NAV. Do let me know if u have it for 4:3. Thanks ;-) tom @ eas Fri, Oct-19-2007, 05:42:07 PM We can either code your NAV computer to TVinMotion or I would recommend moving up to the 16:9 screen, which would make the TV viewing much better anyway. naRtuHp///M3 Wed, Oct-31-2007, 07:22:25 AM Hey Tom, I was browsing your website and your smoked reflectors have me really intrigued. Do you happen to have any pictures of a set installed on a Silver Grey? Or maybe provide me with an idea of what they'd look like. Thanks tom @ eas Wed, Oct-31-2007, 04:29:28 PM Hey Tom, I was browsing your website and your smoked reflectors have me really intrigued. Do you happen to have any pictures of a set installed on a Silver Grey? Or maybe provide me with an idea of what they'd look like. I'd install them on my own car, but it is Sapphire Black and wouldn't come up in pictures correctly. Congrats on your new setup - I'm sure you will be more than pleased after installation. Of course, we'll be there to help every step of the way. :thumbsup2: tom @ eas Thu, May-15-2008, 03:37:43 AM We have seen lots of Angel Eye kits on the market in the past 5 years. Everything from seperate lightsources, CCFL tubes, failing inverters and LED kits with gaps and warranty issues with vendors. What happens when you can't find something for your BMW on the market that suits your needs? You simply design them yourself. http://www.europeanautosource.com/images/vendors/aurora/aurorapromo01.jpg (http://www.europeanautosource.com/product_info.php?products_id=1883) Introducing aurora, an entirely redesigned angel eye kit for your BMW from eas - unlike anything else on the market. aurora produces a fully uniform look using a 60 LED array, which matches most Xenon maps for an OEM look and are very bright - these can even be seen in daytime. You will immediately know another vehicle with a set after yours are installed. Appearance A light-emitting diode, usually called an LED, is a semiconductor diode that emits incoherent narrow-spectrum light when electrically biased in the forward direction of the p-n junction, as in the common LED circuit. This effect is a form of electroluminescence. A LED is usually a small area light source, often with extra optics added to the chip that shapes its radiation pattern. LEDs are often used as small indicator lights on electronic devices and increasingly in higher power applications such as flashlights and area lighting. http://www.europeanautosource.com/images/vendors/aurora/orionvsauroracomparione4601.jpg (http://www.europeanautosource.com/product_info.php?products_id=1883) Comparison photo of Orion (left) vs. aurora (right). No "pearl necklace" or "burnt out Christmas light" syndrome here. aurora emits its light from a 60 LED array for a uniform and finished look. 2-Stage Ring Clipping mechanisms For years, angel eye users have been plagued by clips that simply do not fit correctly - we have a solution. Our 2-stage replaceable clips allow secure clipping onto your headlight housings without the need for "spacing" or guessing alignment, especially for those with adaptive headlamps. Simply clip into place and rest assured your rings will be sure without the need for gluing or falling off from road vibration or adaptive headlight movement. If clips are ever broken, replacements are available without replacing an entire kit. OEM Look aurora halos feature a sleeved highly polished ring around the circuit board, giving a thicker OEM look when on or off. Since LEDs are directional, there is no "bleedoff" in light direction allowing for maximum light output facing forward. Safety A Heavy duty wiring harness is included to make installation quick and painless, while adding safety to your install. No light boxes or lamp sources are used unlike older kits. Installation takes about 1 hour and will be one of the favorite mods on your BMW. Brightest Angel Eye rings on the market aurora Angel eyes can be seen from well over 150 feet away in pure daylight - they are BRIGHT. Using high-powered LED technology, these are the brightest on the market. With a highly polished ring engineered to emulate the OEM ring when not lit, these will look as if your BMW were equipped with Angel Eyes from factory. Kits are engineered using high quality components and are rated at over 100,000 hours or 10 years of continuous illumination. Remote feature aurora angel eyes feature a remote feature that will automatically dim the rings when you enter or leave the vehicle. Unlocking the vehicle will emit a "fade in" and will fade out when the vehicle is locked or if left dormant for over 15 minutes to prevent battery drainage. LIFETIME Guarantee There's nothing worse than having a kit that will not work, for those that have purchased other kits elsewhere and have dealt with frustrating return processed or no warranty at all, we feel your pain. eas backs up all aurora angel eye kits with a limited lifetime warranty, making this the first and last set you will purchase for your BMW. if you should ever experience a problem with your kit, we will be there to help. Preorder today or sign up on our waiting list to be notified when orders are shipping. http://www.europeanautosource.com/images/vendors/aurora/auroraicon.jpg (http://www.europeanautosource.com/product_info.php?products_id=1883) e2 - aurora 60 LED Angel Eye Kit (most BMWs) http://www.europeanautosource.com/product_info.php?products_id=1883 Features - OEM like modern look, simply the brightest kit on the market - 60 high powered LED array for maximum brightness, withstanding shocks, vibrations, frequent switching and extreme temperatures. - CAD designed polycarbonate ring with UV protection and additional clearance for all headlight housings - No dangerous light boxes or heat fixtures to mount, keeping safety and cleanliness underneath your hood - No "cold weather" start problems - Instant transformation to appearance of vehicle after installation - 100,000+ hour life (over ten years) - Easy installation - Compatible with Halogen, Xenon, Auto Leveling and Adaptive Lights - Limited lifetime warranty Kit Contents - 4 Highly polished LED Halos - 1 Heavy duty wiring harness, with remote feature - Backed by limited lifetime warranty - Detailed instructions Models Supported 1999-2003 e46 3-series Coupe (pre-facelift, non-sealed lamps) 1999-2005 e46 3-series Sedan 2000-2006 e46 M3 Coupe/Convertible 1995-2001 e38 7 series 1997-2000 e39 5-series Simply demand the best for your BMW. I've read a lot of different BM forums and I must say tht Tom certainly seems the most knowledgable and helpful 'source' on the topic of Ipod integration. My problem is that I've tried four times now to contact via email and cant seem to get through to anyone. I live in Australia so I dont really relish a phone call to the other side of the world so I thought I'd touch base here and see if there is any problem at the moment with your email system. tom @ eas Thu, Aug-06-2009, 08:48:48 PM Hi, I'm in the market for a Dice (radio interface kit) for my BMW CD43 headunit and word on the net, (and from Dice themselves) is the EAS is the place to go. I can still play music with my iphone, however, I can only go through the music randomly. No selection capabilities and the iphone does not charge. The Silverline Pro kit will support charging on your new iPhone and enable a "smart mode" which allows the touchscreen on the iPod portion to remain unlocked while connected. Since you need the module nad docking cable, it makes more sense to purchase a new kit, and sell your current one on ebay. fishfun83 Tue, Jan-26-2010, 03:35:23 PM The Silverline Pro Kit is listed as a model I-BMW-T, which is the same model number as I have. I understand that your standard policy may be to not respond to status inquiries over public forums, but there have been posts by several forum members, myself included, in the last few days about Aurora AE's and how long we've been waiting for them, and how little information EAS has provided in response to phone calls and emails (almost all of which turned out to be wrong). This is the actual response I received on 9/28/10 when I emailed asking for a status update- "The final stages of production have been completed and we are waiting on final word from the manufacturer about shipment." I spoke to you personally about 6 weeks ago, and you were helpful inasmuch as you said that you would call when they finally did ship, but that doesn't answer any of my questions about why I've been waiting since August, and when I can realistically expect to get them. You had said that you were expecting them late January, but that's obviously come and gone. EAS has a great reputation on this forum, and you can enhance that by answering people's questions honestly and openly about the ridiculously long wait for this particular product, which also happens to be very popular. I'm sure there are more than a few people that are in the same boat and would like an update- and not the vague/sketchy info that has been given out to date. Obviously there is some issue with your manufacturer. I personally would feel better knowing what steps have been taken to correct the situation.
